It took me almost a year to buy a house during the covid craziness. At some point, I was very close to buying an expensive flip house but the inspection raised some questions. Lori took the time to call all the companies that worked on the house to figure out what work was done by professionals and what work was done by the contractor flipping the house. She also called her colleagues to check if anyone had experience with the contractor. I decided to bring in a structural engineer, there were more red flags, and I simply took my deposit back. Several months later, I found a house that I am happy with it and just completed the purchase. When the market is hot, it is easy to end up with a lemon.
